Dr. Palmer is President of Pediatric Urology Associates, and Chief of Pediatric Urology at the Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York (formerly Schneider Children’s Hospital) of Northwell Health System in New Hyde Park.

 

  • is Clinical Professor of Urology and Pediatrics at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine
  • is Program Director of the Pediatric Urology Fellowship Program – the only fellowship training program in the tristate area.
  • has trained or mentored 29 fellows and residents who pursued pediatric urology fellowship training.
  • was among the first pediatric urologists in the US to have a Certificate of Specialization in Pediatric Urology offered by the American Board of Urology.
  • has authored nearly 200 publications on pediatric urology with particular emphasis on voiding dysfunction, laparoscopy, reconstruction of the urinary tract, and testicular problems.
  • has lectured extensively and has been invited as Visiting Professor to several major children’s hospitals in the US.
  • sits on the Editorial Boards of every major urologic journal including the Journal of Urology, Urology, European Urology, and Dialogues in Pediatric Urology.
  • was recognized as the Best Reviewer for the Journal of Urology.
  • holds leadership positions in several major pediatric urology organizations.
  • is a member of the Societies for Pediatric Urology, American Urological Association, and International Children’s Continence Society.
  • founded the Children’s Center for Bladder Control, the largest center for the treatment of childhood voiding disorders in the nation and among the first to develop biofeedback techniques.
