Pediatric Urology Associates is group of physicians who specialize in the care of children & adolescents with urological & gynecological problems. Each surgeon in our group has been fellowship trained at prestigious children’s hospitals in the United States and United Kingdom. Some of our surgeons have pediatric renal transplantation experience as well as pediatric urologic expertise. Pediatric Urology Associates as a group, has over 70 years of cumulative clinical experience caring for complex urologic problems in children. The Founding partner , Selwyn Levitt, is one of the pioneers in the field of pediatric urology, and pediatric renal transplantation. PUA had the first urologist to practice pediatric urology exclusively, in the tri-state area.
Pediatric Urologic problems are similar to most commonly occurring of childhood conditions. Simple undescended testis and hernias are extremely prevalent in the childhood years and affect more children than most people realize. These problems can be taken care of by adult urologists, but it is in the best interest of children that these simple, but at times, complicated procedures be taken care of by someone who performs them routinely. The complex urologic problems, such as bladder extrophy, hypospadias, and in uretero pelvic junction obstructions should only be handled by a person with specialized surgical training in the care of children.

Range of services offered varies from the simple enuresis to major reconstructive surgery.
