Steven C. Friedman, M.D., F.A.A.P., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Steven Friedman is Director of Pediatric Urology at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Friedman is Board Certified in Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of The Society of Pediatric Urology.
Dr. Friedman graduated from State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in 1983 and completed his urology residency at Maimonides Medical Center in 1988. He then studied for his Fellowship training in Pediatric Urology at The Childrens Hospital of Michigan, Wayne State University. He has been practicing pediatric urology and reconstructive surgery in Brooklyn and Long Island since 1991.
Dr. Friedman has authored several articles and has been invited numerous times to lecture on pediatric urology topics. He is listed in "The New York Magazine Best Doctors in New York" 2003 issue and is in "How to Find The Best Doctors in the Metropolitan Area". He serves on the board of directors of The Brooklyn School for Special Children, The Block Institute.
Dr. Friedman sees patients at the Brooklyn office as well as in Great Neck and Hewlett. He performs surgery at Maimonides Medical Center and Schneider Children's Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center. His interests include hypospadias, urinary tract infections, hernias/hydroceles and the state of the art technique of robotic surgery.
