William A. Brock M.D., F.A.A.P., F.A.C.S

Dr. Brock is a senior member of Pediatric Urology Associates. He received his Medical Degree from Emory University and completed his Surgical training at The New York Hospital - Cornell University Medical Center. He did his Urology training at the Mayo Clinic and the University of California in San Diego, where he was also a Post Doctoral Scholar in Pediatric Urology. Dr. Brock completed additional Fellowship training in Pediatric Urology at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in England. He is Board Certified in Urology, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Surgeons. He is currently a Clinical Professor of Urology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Brock was a Major in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era, where he served as a Base Surgeon and Hospital Commander. He was the recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal and a Letter of Recognition from the Surgeon General for his tour of duty overseas. Prior to becoming Chief of the Division of Pediatric Urology at Schneider Children’s Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Dr. Brock was Chairman of the Department of Urology at The Children’s Hospital and Health Center in San Diego and Associate Professor of Surgery/Urology and Pediatrics at the University of California.

Dr. Brock has authored more than 75 articles in Urology Journals and textbooks of Pediatric Urology on such topics as undescended testes, laparoscopy, voiding problems in children, spina bifida, urinary obstruction and infection and laparoscopy. He has been an invited Visiting Professor at several major American Medical Schools, an invited lecturer to the American Academy of Pediatrics and presented papers at multiple annual meetings of both the American Urological Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He recently served as a medical expert on a nationally televised talk show regarding children born with ambiguous genitalia. He has been listed in The New York Magazine issue of "The Best Doctors in New York" , in "How to Find the Best Doctors For You and Your Family" and "How to Find the Best Doctors in the Metropolitan Area".
